CAN I AFFORD A PRIVATE ATTORNEY?

When you go shopping for the services of an attorney, the question almost universally arises, “How much?”

At The CAPETTI GROUP Law Offices, we will do our best to tell you—at our first meeting—what kind of fees you will be looking at to fight your case. It is difficult to tell what the costs will be without first analyzing your specific set of circumstances. Oftentimes there is a way to pay for a private attorney.

As a general rule of thumb, there are four types of fees that you will pay to an attorney:

1. consultation (We have reduced our consultation fee to $35
for a ½ hour consultation with the first available attorney.)
2. representation retainer
3. reimbursement of expenses (travel costs, copying costs, etc.)
4. expert witness fees

In rare instances, there may also be an administration fee charged.

Payment plans and financing are available.

After a recent win, we asked our client whether or not—knowing what he now knew—he would still worry about whether or not he could afford a private attorney…? His response was perfect: “I would wonder how I could afford not to retain your services!”

We wonder too. With every guilty plea, with every wimpy closing argument, with every guilty verdict. We wonder too.
