I THINK I HAVE AN ANGER PROBLEM

Sometimes our clients come to us with the sober realization that they allowed themselves to lose control of their emotions and responses in a highly volatile domestic situation. Some people realize that this happens too often and they want to get help. But where?

At The Capetti Group Law Offices, we routinely encourage people to seek the help that they need to deal with negative behaviors, such as anger and violence issues. We are in touch with some very excellent, competent counselors who deal with these issues on a regular basis.

If you feel that you might need help with these or similar issues, we encourage you to seek the assistance that you need. A quick call to a local Domestic Violence Shelter, your local church, or a Phychiatrist can be a good start in the right direction.

The most important thing to remember is this: acknowledging that you have a problem is the first, and most important step. Honesty is key; and honesty starts with YOU.

Keep in mind, however, that you do not have to tell the whole world. You may be the subject of a criminal investigation, thus implicating your right to remain silent. Exercise that right!!! Never speak to someone without being sure that you have the cloak of confidentiality and privilege. Oftentimes you can cover yourself with these protections by retaining an attorney and then being referred through that attorney’s office for counseling.

Tread lightly, but get help if you need it.
